Davis 49 of Franklin County rises to undersheriff as Rex Bowling reorganizes the sheriff's department. A longtime deputy and training officer, Davis has served since 1972 and will oversee admin work, road patrol, and a new community resource officer. The department also secured a $159000 COPS grant for three more officers.
