Endangered Species Panel Blocks Tellico Dam Plan
The Endangered Species Committee voted unanimously to block Tellico Dam completion in Tennessee to protect the three inch snail darter, while also unanimously exempting Grayrocks Dam in Wyoming with safeguards for whooping cranes on the Platte River downstream in Nebraska.
