Reappraisal Planned for Sherman County State Property
The state director of property valuation said the department will reappraise all state assessed property in Sherman County despite questions over the board order. The Board of Tax Appeals ordered the reappraisal after a Sherman County landowner filed a complaint, also calling for a county real estate reappraisal and a Jan. 31 hearing on appointing a reappraiser. Dwyer could not say when state property revaluation would start. State assessed property covers railroads pipelines electric utility lines and telephone companies.
