Midwest Internet Services restores Ottawa service after hack
Local Internet provider Midwest Internet Services formerly Internet Solutions faced a Spain based hacking incident causing outages for hundreds of Ottawa residents. Operations manager Brian Rome said the attackers aimed to use the server, not shut it down, and the system was largely back online by Wednesday after upgrades and security fixes.
