Williamsburg plans $1 million sewer loan public hearing

Williamsburg to hold a 7:30 p.m. February 1 City Hall hearing on a $1 million loan application to the Kansas Water Pollution Control Revolving Fund. The plan covers rehabilitating sewer mains and 52 manholes, replacing 135 taps, lagoon site work, with total project cost about $2.9 million. Oral and written comments will be recorded as part of the SRF Citizen Participation Plan.

West Franklin administrators contracts extended

Miami County Dispatcher Charged With Meth Possession

Debbie Henson a 42 year old Osawatomie resident and former Miami County Sheriff's Office dispatcher was arrested January 4 by Kansas Bureau of Investigation on felony meth possession claims. She faces two misdemeanors for drug paraphernalia possession and official misconduct alleging use of confidential information for personal gain after 18 years at the dispatch center and an award from the Mid-America Regional Council in 2012.
