Kangaroo Roo Captured After Frigid Wisconsin Walkabout
A red haired kangaroo nicknamed Roo was captured in a Dodgeville snowstorm after a days long series of resident reports. The 150 pound marsupial is quarantined at Henry Vilas Zoo while officials consider introducing it to other kangaroos. If unclaimed, Margaret Suter may take Roo to her Madison area home where she keeps several kangaroos and a wallaby. Roo’s caregiver loss worries Suter who notes kangaroos can seem like teddy bears though injuries exist.
