Home for boys closes doors as sale proceeds aid trust
Home Base will close next week with proceeds from its sale placed into an educational trust for at risk children. Founder Pence says the assets will continue to help kids stay in school while four Ottawa boys who entered in 1975 graduate funded by the program. Community support from schools mental health groups churches and donors sustained the effort and many volunteers served on the board.

Sheriff Rex Bowling reports a growing cache of recovered weapons after two rural searches sparked a wider investigation.
