Sunday School Lesson on Faith and Modern World

Clarence W. Cranford, in a Sunday School piece, argues science advances outpace moral growth. A Welsh miner’s conversion shows Christianity can transform lives, from drinking to responsible family life, and faith is needed to turn fear into purpose amid affluence. The article cites Walter Lippmann on unrest and notes Jesus’ example of compassion and action as a blueprint for turning guilt into peace and indifference into discipleship. It ends by linking faith to social action through education, healthcare, and support for the vulnerable, urging followers to do whatever Jesus tells them.
