Wingert earns NJAA Bronze and Silver honors for cattle work
Ottawa teen Jackson Wingert, 18, will receive the National Junior Angus Association Bronze and Silver awards this month at a Hutchinson livestock show. The Kansas youth compiled years of data on feeding, breeding, and genetics while active in NJAA and Kansas Junior Angus Association. Wingert credits his family for support and plans to attend Kansas State University to advance his agriculture education.

FFA conference in KC ties hunger drive to ag education
Missouri and Kansas FFA chapters converge near Kansas City for the 52nd Western Farm Show at the American Royal Complex February 22–24. About 3,000 students will participate in the Feeding the World Starting at Home initiative, with a food drive on FFA Day to Harvesters Community Food Network and a $500 Border War prize for the top collector.
