Smoke free dining idea gains local support in Garnett

Scott Fage of Yesterday s Soda Fountain and Cafe in Garnett advocates a townwide restaurant smoking ban. He opened Nov 2 and reports 95 percent of residents supported smokefree rules after discussions on the square near the former Kingsolver Drug store. He notes one Osawatomie restaurant allows smoking and says broad, countywide adoption would not be a problem if others join.
