A morning fire destroyed the 12 story home of Robert and Nancy Jestes in Ottawa Rural Fire District 4 about seven miles northwest. Loss is estimated at $30,000 plus. Mrs Jestes, 29, escaped to a neighbor in bare feet and a nightgown, reporting the blaze. she could not determine a cause. The Jestes family includes four children. deputies and firefighters from Ottawa and Lincoln townships battled the blaze as strong winds fanned flames.
