Indoor pool gets second lease on life from city
Ottawa officials gave Swim For Life Aquatic Fitness Center owner Mark Retzer 12 months to pave an unpaved extension and plant a tree line to obscure the parking area, plus 30 days to secure a bond equal to 125 percent of the projected improvement costs. The decision, 4-1, amends an earlier plan requiring 18 months and involved public concerns over noise lights and traffic.
