Tigers Top Ottawa to Claim Ninth Annual Friends Tourney
Fort Hays State defeated Ottawa University 78 to 68 to remain undefeated at 14-0 and win the Friends University basketball tournament. Key swing came after a six minute stretch in the second half as Hays outscored OU 19-3, led by guard tandems Marc Wilson and Max Hamblin and forward Larry. Keith Miller paced Ottawa with 27 points, while Wilson added 24 for Fort Hays as both teams traded blows in a rugged, foul-filled title game.
