ECKAN Food Distribution Rescheduled For Martin Luther King Day

The ECKAN agency will distribute food to Franklin County commodity program participants on January 10. The date shifts because offices close for Martin Luther King Jr Day. Franklin County dispatchers handled over a dozen fireworks violation reports Friday night and Saturday morning but no unusual incidents or Y2K problems. Extra officers patrolled from Friday 6 p.m. until Sunday 6 a.m. with two on duty 12 hours, then one additional officer for the next 24 hours.
