Police Trap Foils Murder Suspect in Oneonta

Oneonta, NY AP report states Ricky Allen Knapp, 26, was arrested after reportedly moving the dismembered body of Linda Velzy, 18, from a car to a new hiding place. Velzy vanished Dec 9 after hitchhiking near Oneonta. autopsy indicates skull fracture and brain contusions, no sexual assault. Knapp, previously imprisoned for rape, was charged with murder. Velzy was the daughter of a Long Island Methodist minister and a campus freshman.

Omnibus Prices Rise in December Hit Grocery Bills
