Days Inn Ottawa Months of Renovation Redefine Travel Stay
A 1983 purchase by three investors led Govind Patel to relocate and upgrade the Monroe Camp on Ottawa's south side. Renovations through 1997 replaced cabins with modern rooms offering work-zone features. The 1997 opening showcased non smoking units with microwaves, refrigerators, coffee makers, iron boards, hair dryers, a 25 inch stereo TV, dual phone jacks, plus 24 hour fax and copying. The addition of a pool and Jacuzzi room aimed to blend business and leisure for travelers.
