Mary E. Hubele a 58 year old Melvern schoolteacher from Osage City died in a classroom Monday afternoon. She had taught in Melvern three years and recently returned to her job after illness. Survived by her father living with her, five sons Harold Ernest Timmy Mer jin and Dale Portland Ore and a sister Mrs Floyd Wilson Emporia. Her husband Chris died two years ago of a heart attack while working for the railroad at Osage City. he was from Gypsum Kansas.

Funeral services for Oscar C Beamer of Waverly, formerly Ottawa, were held Feb. 15 in Kansas. Born 1887 near Ransom, he farmed there, served as Highland cemetery sexton, and moved to a farm near Waverly in 1947. Surviving family includes a son Lester Guy man and daughter Maud Clyne. Minnie Wells of Lane, 88, died Feb. 12 at Ransom Memorial hospital after transfer from Tankersley nursing home. Surviving sister Lizzie Hanfeld and several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements were made through Eddy Funeral Home Osawatomie.
