Ottawa students face a longer school year as the district must make up snow days. Superintendent Dean Katt says the last day won’t be May 18 as planned, with two make-up days set for April 29 and a full day May 18, followed by a half day May 19. If another snow day occurs, officials will craft another plan.
Hospital administrator Larry Felix said Ransom Memorial Hospital will seek to replace the south canopy due to repeated vehicle strikes, a cracking roof, and leaks. He noted the structure is in poor condition and plans are to install a safer, taller canopy in the future.

Wellsville Middle School sixth graders take a quarter long Community Service course taught by Janet Delgado and Jim Soden. Students organize a clothing exchange, donate to the Helping Hands pantry, and collect diapers and hygiene items while learning that helping others makes a lasting impact.
