Ottawa University beat Kansas Newman 85-77 at Wilson Field House in a non conference win. Guards Anthony King and Keith Miller led with 45 points and nine steals as OU used aggressive defense to force 22 turnovers and shoot 59 percent, finishing 18-11 overall. Newman top scorer Don Brugman had 29 points for the Jets.
