Captain Underpants Banned At Maple Hill School
Maple Hill Elementary bans Captain Underpants from its library after fourth graders imitate the humorous duo. Principal Rebecca Sciacca removed the book citing classroom disruption while parents like Jennifer Merrill and Stephen Lotto debate its value for reluctant readers. The series includes four installments featuring two boys and a hypnotized principal.
