PARIS A 72-year-old American widow, Mrs Anna Beck formerly of near Tipton Kansas, arrived to wed her childhood sweetheart Camille Lambert a 73 year old retired businessman from Herbeuval France They missed connections at the airport but she remains cheerful They plan to travel to America after marrying Lambert who initially resisted but was convinced during a May visit Beck has seven children 25 grandchildren and five great grandchildren and says there is life for old folks while Lambert lived in Luxembourg before moving to France in retirement

A Kansas woman Rose Marie Flegel 19 of Manhattan Kansas and Edwin Wieman 61 of Utica Nebraska were killed in a highway crash six miles west of Aurora Nebraska at a 0.84 intersection. Leroy Flegel 20 driver of the Kansas car Leslie Iona Flegel 8 and Seliva Flege 1 2 were among five injured. Trooper Irwin Moleyk reported the westbound Kansas car swerved to avoid a northbound vehicle and collided with the eastbound car carrying Wieman.
