Ottawa housing study highlights rental shortage and new developments
A housing needs analysis shows Ottawa faces a severe rental shortage alongside single family housing gaps. The city, with the Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development group, advances two developments near the Ottawa Country Club and between 17th and 19th streets that will add about 290 units. Estimated prices reach 85 to 90 thousand dollars with duplex plans, and two thirds of units already sold, signaling strong demand.
