Ottawa Chamber names Leadership class for 1996
The Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce announced the Mere County Leadership Program class of 1996. County to File Tax Liens on Delinquent Properties
County commissioners Charles Mavity Jr and Gardner Hayden certified delinquent property taxes from 1987 through 1994 and sent them to the district court clerk to file liens. They approved updating three clerk positions in the road and bridge department. The board accepted Ray DeJulio’s noxious weed annual report and approved Loyd Builders Inc for 23188 to remodel the detention center first floor for juvenile detention and intake.

Open admissions challenged by Kansas House panel

Ottawa approves leases with ORC and zoning changes
City commission approved leases transferring management and maintenance of ORC run baseball fields and Forest Park facilities for one year with minor changes.
