Hobbyist Revives Brass Rubbings Art in Middletown
Barbara Sanford teaches European brass rubbing using 32 facsimile plates of English and Belgian brasses. Her lessons grew from five years in Belgium where her husband worked. She notes the craft requires effort to capture faces and hands and has sold rubbings to gift and furniture stores.
