Robbers entered the Commercial Lithographing Co. through a rear window and cracked a safe, then a fire started in damaged equipment valued at 7,000 to 8,000 dollars. The sprinkler system flooded a large area of the one story plant, with only a small amount of cash missing, says vice-president Bill W. Pfeiffer.

Aged 48, he allegedly began as a horse thief and is charged with a daylight robbery of a Chicago finance firm on March 20 1950.
