Twenty two former members of the Franklin and Douglas County American Association of Medical Assistants met in October at Sirloin Stockade for their first reunion. Ottawa hosts Evaline Hazen and Martha Yancey led the event, part of a chapter with history from the 1950s through 1990.

Ottawa University Teams Compete In 2003 Kansas Championship
Ottawa University cheer and dance teams joined the Kansas Best All-Star Championship on February 2 at Washburn University’s Lee Arena in Topeka. Over 300 teams were expected, with Braves entries in their divisions. Senior Kim Jones and Sara Wilke performed in jumps while Emilee Goodwin took part in the Mailbag Senior dance competition. Separately, the RMH Auxiliary installed 2003 officers on January 27 led by President Lela Mac Santarpia and President-Elect Betty Stark. board members and officers were named, with monthly meetings set for second Tuesday.
