U S Students Lag In Math And Science In International Test
U S students trail in science and math with 13-year-olds scoring far below peers in Korea Taiwan Switzerland and the former Soviet Union. U S 13-year-olds averaged 67 percent in science and 55.3 percent in math while Jordan and Ireland posted lower scores and Korea led. The study by ETS covered about 110 schools per age level and tested graph interpretation and basic science concepts among others.

Lawrence School Board accepts Neuenswander resignation
Lawrence Kansas The School Board voted unanimously to accept Superintendent Dan Neuenswander’s resignation and excuse him from the remaining two years of his contract.
