Weekend forecast calls for mostly sunny skies today with highs around 60 and southeast winds 5 to 15 mph. Tonight should be fair with temperatures in the low 30s. Sunday will be partly cloudy with highs in the low 60s.
At the United Nations Yeltsin proposed a worldwide anti missile shield and offered to reduce multiple warhead missiles. He framed Russia as an ally of the West and urged peaceful cooperation, saying US cuts must be matched to eliminate such weapons.
The Ottawa area map project uses NAVSTAR satellite data and a three man crew from Surveying Control Inc of Albuquerque to plot 60 square miles with millimeter accuracy. Data links between points A to B and B to C will take about 30 minutes per link and is expected to finish in about two weeks before aerial photography by Wilson and Company of Salina completes the map.
