Markets Mixed on Tuesday as Tech Gains Pause
New York markets showed mixed results with investors guarding gains from a year end rally. The Dow slipped 13.70 points to 10,436.30 while the Nasdaq edged lower to 2,006.35 after a strong Monday close above 2,000 for the first time since January 15. The S&P 500 rose 1.0 point to 1,109.70 and the Russell 2000 advanced 4.9 to 564.76 as advancers outpaced decliners on both major exchanges.
