Fire crews battle Burlington Northern oil leak in railroad incident
Lincoln Ottowa Harrison firefighters responded to a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train oil leak that was first reported as a fire. Franklin County emergency management director Alan Radcliffe said oil leaked from one engine, producing a large plume of smoke.

Teen jumps from Main Street bridge in Ottawa river incident
A 16-year-old boy jumped Thursday afternoon from the west side of Ottawa's Main Street Bridge into the Marais des Cygnes River. He climbed out on his own, was helped from the bank by officers, and transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Police and emergency crews responded. the incident occurred at about 12 43 p.m. with air about 35 degrees and river at 45.

Firefighters later responded to a two vehicle injury wreck at Seventh and South Main at 1:09 p.m. Friday and assisted with seven medical calls across Wednesday and Thursday.
