Dan Howser Dies at 79 in California
Dan Howser 79, brother of Joe Howser of Ottawa and longtime Ottawan, died December 22 in California. Survived by widow, another brother Will Howser in California, sisters Edna Smith and Mary Kinsley near Ottawa, and a daughter in Grove County, Kansas. He had lived in California about 35 years and was well known in the Centropolis area.

Kansas City automaker Ford plant, the oldest assembly line outside Detroit, will close tomorrow for a 12 mile relocation.
