The Elm Grove and Fouts schools held their joint Christmas supper with pupils and teacher Mrs Roy Gould performing songs plays readings and music. Participants included Rebecca Lawrence Mary Lawrence Ruth Phillip Paul McFadden Jerry Miller Judy Maxwell Steven Harrington Kenneth Harrington and Wayne Hoopes. The group exchanged gifts and Mrs Gould offered refreshments as a large audience enjoyed the event.

NEW DELHI—Prime Minister Nehru’s trip to the United States appears to have gone well, strengthening Indian American friendship and easing strains between New Delhi and Washington. About 30 Indian MPs plan to form an Indo U S friendship group to build on the Nehru Eisenhower talks. Most newspapers portray a warm, sympathetic U S government toward India.
James Ellis, 57, of Kansas City Kansas, died after being struck by a car at a street intersection in Kansas City Kas. He died in a hospital early today as police sought the vehicle and driver description.
