An Alaskan Christmas and Kenai the rescue dog tale
The author recalls adopting Kenai a fearful skeletal sled dog four years ago and, after a winter ordeal, a terrier intermediary helps Kenai feel safe and playful. A second rescue dog joins the family, and the piece ends with reflections on faith and God’s love as expressed through an intermediary figure in a snowy Alaska setting.
