Ottawa University Braves battled back against No 3 Indiana Wesleyan and No 1 Cardinal Stritch at the Hoop N Surf Classic in Honolulu Hawaii. Ottawa lost 71 65 to Wesleyan and 78 66 to Stritch after leading late in both games. The Braves opened with a 70 54 win over Oneonta State, led Stritch 23 21 late in the first half and trailed by 40 36 at halftime. Dippel led Ottawa with 21 points against Stritch and 16 against Wesleyan, while Rose and Smith added double figure outputs. Feighny grabbed 10 rebounds in the setback to Stritch, as Ottawa finished 6 8 overall and 3 1 in the conference, next facing Tabor on January 3.
