Kansas City firefighters mourn Battalion Chief John H. Tvedten Jr. after a weekend fire at Aspen Paper Products, where he appeared to become disoriented directing operations. Investigators and ATF officials canvassed the site. the cause remained undetermined. Tvedten, 47, had been a prominent leader, with his father also a KC fire battalion chief killed in 1981.
