Melvern woman charged in kidnapping and murder
Federal authorities charged Lisa M. Montgomery, 36, of Melvern, with kidnapping resulting in death after she allegedly strangled Bobbie Jo Stinnett, eight months pregnant, and removed a baby from her womb in Missouri. The infant was later found alive in Kansas. authorities said DNA tests were pending to confirm the baby’s identity.
