Livingston admits affairs as impeachment debate looms
Republican Rep. Bob Livingston acknowledged extramarital affairs ahead of today’s House vote on impeaching President Clinton. The Louisiana congressman’s confession came during a closed door meeting and drew mixed reactions from Republicans and Democrats amid broader Washington upheaval including a looming impeachment case and U S military action in Iraq. Flynt's Hustler said four women alleged affairs with Livingston. Livingston stressed these indiscretions were not with staff and he never testified under oath.
