Born April 7 1913 Blue Mound to Ebinezer and LaDell Dart. Married Ernest M. Maxey May 2 1931 Garnett. he died earlier. Survived by three sons, one daughter, three sisters, 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren. Burial Garnett Cemetery. Memorials to Hospice care of Farris. Family will receive friends 1–2 p.m. Saturday.

Radford Virginia resident Harry Elston Bishop age 81 died December 5 2003 at his home. A December 7 memorial service was held at Central United Methodist Church. He was born near Concordia Kansas and graduated from the University of Kansas after WWII service. He worked 33 years as a quality control engineer for Hercules Inc retiring in Kingston New York. Survived by Verna Welton his wife of 56 years two sons Philip and Mark a daughter Elaine Brooks a brother Keith Bishop five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and sister Marjorie Fritzel.

Harold Richard Brown Jr. 47 died December 14 2003 at his home near Rantoul Kansas. Graveside services are at 1 p.m. Friday at Maple Hill Cemetery Kansas City Kansas. He was born October 30 1956 in Kansas City to Harold R and Betty Brown. He lived in the Kansas City area and worked at Metro Tow and later owned Browns Complete Auto before moving to Rantoul seven years ago. He also worked for Ottawa Ford and Wettstein Auto Repair in Garnett. He married Lissa Ann Jackman July 19 1980 at St Agnes Church Roe land Park. Surviving are wife two daughters Melissa Ann Harrell Shawnee and Amanda Kaye Brown of the home three brothers Danny Kane David Wayne and a sister Donna Brown and his father. His mother died earlier. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p m at Lamb Roberts Funeral Home Ottawa. In lieu of flowers the Harold R Brown Jr Memorial Fund is requested in care of Lamb Roberts Funeral Home Ottawa.

Wallace Bruce David Jr., 65, died December 15, 2003, at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa. Graveside services are 2 p.m. Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery. He was born March 24, 1938, in Fulton, Missouri, to Wallace B. David Sr. and Willem M. Johnson. He lived in Ottawa for the past five years, previously in Topeka and Carbondale. He owned B and L Welding in Overbrook in the 1980s and worked as a quarry worker and mechanic. He married Bonnie Makepeace in Melvern in 1976. Survived by two sons Earl Lee and Michael, four daughters Julie, Loretta Makepeace, Carolyn Good, and Patty, a sister Melissa Waters, his mother, 14 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and two nephews. Cremation followed. Memorial fund details and condolence options provided.
