Back-Up Horn Leads Packers Past Bears in Key Finish

Don Horn, activated for the injured Bart Starr, came off the bench to spearhead a 21 14 victory over the Chicago Bears. He connected on a 67 yard TD pass to Jim Grabowski and a 45 yard pass to Boyd Dowler, then added a 2 yard TD to Dowler as Green Bay seized a 21 10 halftime edge and held off Chicago's late rally. The win, coupled with Minnesota’s victory, boosts the Vikings to the Central Division title race while Chicago risks remaining in the NFL cellar.
