Weaver Named To State Tax Board As Legislature Leadership Buzz Grows
Gov. John Carlin appointed Rep. Fred Weaver to the state Board of Tax Appeals to fill the remainder of a four year term, replacing Charles Joseph. Weaver plans to resign from the House in time for a district caucus before the 1984 session to elect a successor and potentially a new minority leader. The governor also reappointed Dallas Grable and John Bennett to the board, with Rex Bergen and Robert Henry’s terms expiring next June.
