Ice storm power outage recovery in Kansas continues
Crews across Kansas work to restore power to more than 110000 customers still in the dark after storms. Ice melting improves conditions and temperatures rise into the 30s, while officials monitor another storm potentially dropping up to 6 inches of snow in southwest and south central Kansas. Westar Energy reports 62000 customers still without power, with Reno and Riley counties hardest hit. Kansas Electric Cooperatives Inc. counts 41000 outages, down about 10000 from Wednesday.

Positive developments boost Ottawa area industry plans
Weigand says 2007 looks positive with a potential new light industry bringing up to 200 jobs near Wellsville. Four industries at Davis Avenue Industrial Park plan expansions as Hill's Pet Foods departure highlighted site-selection challenges.
