Markley Attorney Seeks to Block Recall Vote
Osage County Commissioner Robert Markley’s attorney filed an appeal with the Kansas Court of Appeals to halt a recall election. District Judge Donald White had stayed the vote on November 25 pending the appeal outcome. Calvin Williams of Carbondale warned that moving ahead could oust Markley with no path to restoration if reversed. A group named Citizens Land Use Committee opposes the recall.
