Veteran worker to lead Kansas Democrats
Topeka woman June Teasley named executive director of the Kansas Democratic Party. She aims to rebuild the registration base to reverse 1994 losses and believes President Clinton on the ballot will aid Kansas Democrats despite Bob Dole as the Republican nominee. Teasley formerly chaired credentials and served as party communications director and nominee for the Legislature. The GOP has not filled its executive director post since early this year. Teasley and her husband Stan Teasley have four children.
