Hayden forms tax policy task force in Kansas
Gov elect Mike Hayden announced a seven member tax policy task force to advise on revisions to the state tax structure. Members include former Governor Bennett and former Lt. Governor Shelby Smith, with Ed Rolfs and Marlin Rein as key appointees. The group will consider federal tax reform impacts and differentiate actions for 1987 and 1988 sessions. Ed Flentje said the panel is a major component of Hayden’s administration amid a bleak revenue outlook.
