Fiji Plans Millennium Light Show Across 180th Meridian
Fiji aims to mark the new millennium with a light display along the 180th meridian across Taveuni Rabi and Vanua Levu. A wall of blocks will host message-filled vials bought for about 500 dollars each to be opened in 2999, with the line visible from space and tourism projected to rise by about 70 million dollars.
