General Edward Hand Chapter DAR held its annual Christmas luncheon for Mrs. Frances L. Johnson of Louisburg, highlighting support for Kate Duncan Smith School in Grant Alabama and Tammassee School in Tammassee South Carolina. Miss Margaret Smith and Mrs. Lauren Gaddis were welcomed as new members. 1980 budget approved. next meeting January 12 at Mrs. Allen Loyd’s home.

Ottawa Nightcrawlers Club Hosts Festive Christmas Party
Members of the Ottawa Nightcrawlers Camping Club met at Lamont Hill Restaurant for a Christmas party. New officers were elected for the coming year: Robert and Glenna Boecker as president, Jim and Marty Ralston as vice presidents, Bob and Kris Fleming as secretary, Beverly and Lee Schmitt as treasurers. Donations were collected for Ottawa Meals On Wheels. The Ralstons will host the January 12 meeting at their home. members are asked to bring patterns for birdhouses and enjoy sandwiches.
