Volunteer Service Program Links Students With Community Needs
Ottawa University volunteers program organized to connect about 75 students with single or ongoing tasks. More than 100 students completed questionnaires to outline availability and interests. Projects include tutoring in elementary schools, day care, nursing home activities, UNICEF drives, humane society work, and church assistance. Community groups consider a county wide volunteer bureau to expand participation.
