Franklin County Coyote Bounty Ends After Dec 31
Franklin County will discontinue its coyote bounty on December 31, ending the $2 per pair of ears program. Commission officials say many ears arrive decayed or detached from shot animals, and the county budget will save money. In 1968, $1,002 was paid for 501 ears, with $598 more possible if spent, but the change aims to curb the bounty while coyotes remain a localized issue in LeLoup Wellsville and areas south of Williamsburg.
