Kichler of Ottawa was eastbound on Shawnee Road when a westbound pickup driven by Shaw attempted a left turn onto Texas Road. The motorcycle collided with the pickup’s right front corner. Kichler was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene. Shaw was arrested for involuntary manslaughter while under the influence.
