Pediatricians push rotavirus diarrhea vaccine nationwide
Chicago reports that pediatricians urge a three dose oral rotavirus vaccine at 2 4 and 6 months to curb severe diarrhea. Rotavirus causes about three million U S children sick each year with 40 deaths and 55 000 hospitalizations, with vaccines potentially cutting severe cases by up to 80 percent.
